Boost your productivity with eZsign version 1.9.7
Efficiency and control are at the heart of the new eZsign update. In version 1.9.7, we’ve focused our efforts on reducing repetitive tasks and improving the administrative management of your documents.
New Functionality
- Automatic Step Assignment by Signatory
The new automatic step assignment feature allows for better structuring of the signature workflow from the moment a new document is created. It is now possible to assign a signature step to each signatory, so that each new block added is automatically placed at the correct step for the right person. This greatly simplifies document preparation, reduces manual adjustments, and helps maintain a clear and consistent signature sequence. This feature retains all the necessary flexibility, allowing a signatory to be involved in different steps as needed.
In addition, it is now possible to return to the interface at any time to view the steps assigned to signatories and the documents they need to sign. A new signature flow view allows you to validate the entire workflow before sending, ensuring that each signatory is correctly positioned at the right step. This flow displays the document names, steps, relevant signatories, and the number of signature blocks each signatory must complete. This improvement provides better visibility into the signature sequence and helps prevent errors before the file is submitted.
- Recent Signatory Groups
The new Recent Signatory Groups feature is now available when adding a new signer in eZsign. A new category called Signatory Groups now appears in the search area. This section makes it easier to find previously used signer groups, simplifying and speeding up the preparation of your mailings.
- Batch Actions on Incomplete Documents
The new batch actions on incomplete documents feature allows you to manage multiple documents in a single operation within an eZsign folder. Instead of having to open each document separately to make a change, users can now select one, several, or all documents at once directly in the documents section. Once selected, an actions menu appears, allowing you to perform certain operations in batches, greatly simplifying the management of documents that are not yet completed.
This feature applies to both documents that have not yet been sent and documents that have already been sent for signature but are still incomplete. It is now possible to quickly perform actions such as deleting multiple documents, changing their signature deadlines, or even completing them prematurely in a single step. For example, if several documents have expired, it is no longer necessary to correct their deadlines one by one: simply select them together and apply the change simultaneously. This improvement makes document management faster, simpler, and much more efficient on a daily basis.
- Control and Security: More Granular Permissions
Some user permissions have been broken down to offer more flexible and precise access management. For example, here are three new permissions that have been added for folder types:
- List
- Read
- Modification
Here’s how these permissions apply:
- List Only Permission: The user sees the list of folder types but cannot access their contents.
- List/Read Permission: The user sees the list of folder types and can access a read only view of their configuration details.
- Read Only Permission: The user does not see the list of folder types. However, if they access a folder type via a hyperlink in the solution, they will be able to view the information.
- List/Read/Modify Permissions: The user can see the list of folder types, access their configuration, modify them, and create new folder types. Note: All users who previously had the “Create/Modify Folder Types” permission now have all three new permissions.
The following permissions have also been modified:
- Authentication External
- Emit Webhook Event
- API Key Generation
- Webhook
