Discover new functionalities and improvements introduced in this version.
Efficiency and control are at the heart of the new eZsign update. In version 2.0.2, we’ve introduced Separate management for CC recipients, Customizable signature date display, and Greater flexibility for consultation fields.
New Functionalities
- CC Recipients Now Managed Separately
You can now manage CC recipients in a dedicated section of your eZsign folder.
This new approach makes it easy to add people who should receive the signed documents from a folder without requiring them to sign. You can select an existing contact or add a new recipient directly when creating the folder.
This enhancement also provides a clearer distinction between signers and CC recipients while maintaining the existing flexibility.
If a signer should receive all documents in the folder, including those they are not required to sign, simply enable the corresponding option when creating the signer. They will automatically be added to the CC recipient list.
Important: A CC recipient receives all signed documents in the folder, whether they are a signer on one or more documents or are not a signer at all of a document.
- Signature Date Display Customization
You can now configure how the signature date is displayed directly within the folder type.
By default, signature fields display the complete date and time (year, month, day, hour, minutes, seconds, and time zone). You can now customize this behavior by selecting one of the following options:
- Use the default date: Displays the full date and time.
- Do not display a date: The signature field is displayed without a date.
- Use a custom format: Choose the date format that best meets your needs, such as displaying only the date for example (YYYY-MM-DD).
- More Flexibility for Consultation Fields
Consultation fields now offer three operating modes, allowing you to choose the level of interaction required from the recipient.
- Automatic: The acknowledgement is considered complete as soon as the recipient opens the document. No additional action is required.
- Manual: The recipient must explicitly confirm that they have reviewed the document by clicking the designated confirmation button.
- Optional: The recipient is notified by email that a document is available for review but is not required to open it. The signing process and all subsequent steps continue normally whether or not the document is reviewed. Since no acknowledgement is required, this review will not appear in the proof of signature.
This new option is especially useful when someone simply needs to be informed or have access to a document during the signing process without requiring any action on their part for the package to proceed.
